Simple Heart Lunch

Simple Heart Lunch: A Simple Valentine's Day Lunch Idea!
I made this Simple Heart Lunch for Eliana yesterday and she loved it! Simple has been the name of the game lately. It has taken me a while to get back into a good rhythm since the holidays! And this lunch was really so simple to make. Eliana loved it, said it was "gorgeous" and wanted another one just like it tomorrow. Works for me! :)

I made a layered heart sandwich, layering bread, ham and cheese in different size shaped hearts. I made the first layer with whole wheat bread, then a layer of cheese and ham (both the same size with ham placed on top).  The next layer was another piece of cheese under the same size heart as the white bread. A small heart cut of organic fruit leather topped the sandwich.  **If making a layered heart sandwich to go make sure to "glue" the layers together with either a bit of honey or nut butter, or you could hold it together with a heart bento pick.**

Surrounding the layered heart she had some red bell pepper hearts and some cucumber.   It was such a simple lunch to make and would be perfect for Valentine's Day-- or any day really! :)
